Business Advisory Board
Kent Economic Board highly values engagement with the business community. The Business Advisory Board was established in January 2009 and provides a ‘sounding board’ with the business community to review and reflect on strategy and policy back to the main board.
The key areas of activity for the members of Business Advisory Board are:
- To offer views and intelligence on KEB agenda items – e.g. contributing thoughts towards KCC’s regeneration framework, SEEDA’s strategy policy revue etc.
- Record the business issues that influence regeneration and development – collected at each meeting in the form of a ‘Review of current economic conditions’
- Contribute to the work of the task forces where applicable – e.g. MediaTree providing data for the Skills Task Group
- Represent and lobby for business to ensure the right resources are present in the county to ensure economic development
